This update will include the Clothing Shop and an experimental Workshop available on the website. This update also deviates from the new trolley game per two weeks pattern. As a result, it has taken longer than usual to develop, among other setbacks.
In the workshop, anyone will be able to submit their own custom textures for clothing they'd like to see in the game. Every so often, staff will approve a select few and make them available to purchase via the clothing shop in-game. You can find the workshop on the website, available to anyone who has registered an account. Please note, being abusive will result in your account being disabled with little leniency. This is highly experimental; anything here is subject to change.
The clothing shop is the area in the game where players can customize their Toon via clothing options. Currently, this is limited to shirts and shorts, and the UI is currently very basic and not very intuitive, but we will improve on this in the future once we have a solution for the character models. We've also gone ahead and added a few clothing items from the original Toontown for you to enjoy for now.
Finally, we'd like to highlight that we are still looking for someone to port over character models or make their own rendition of them for Toontown in Unity. We'll continue to make progress with what we have currently, but this could significantly impede the official release of Toontown in Unity.
Happy shopping!
